Break Me Ouch, 2006

by Michael Farrell
3 Deep Design

Break Me Ouch combines poetry with comic style graphics, and is inspired by the minimalist aesthetics of rock bands like The White Stripes.

Designed and published by 3 Deep Design, Break Me Ouch features Farrell's hand drawn frames spaces like lines of stanzas. The content ranges from colonial beards to clouds to Kanye West.

Michael Farrell's poetry collections 'ode ode' (Salt) was short-listed for The Age Poetry Book of the Year in 2003. His poems have been included in several anthologies, most recently Best Australian Poetry 2005, and have been translated in Slovenian and Dutch. He lives in East St Kilda.
